Pedal Powered Prime Mover - DIY Plans

Build it yourself. Power it yourself!

You can assemble the Pedal Powered Prime Mover (PPPM) with standard hand tools (drill, hacksaw, wrench, pliers, screwdriver, etc.). No welding, brazing or machine-shop work is required. Use your PPPM to power virtually anything that requires moderate amounts of electric power, spins, or rotates, as long as the effort required is within your capabilities.

Plans include step-by-step instructions and assembly photographs.

Over 200 people have purchased the PPPM plans, and the number is growing steadily.

The Pedal Powered Prime Mover plans consist of:

• Over 30 pages of detailed, step-by-step assembly instructions
• A CD with over 150 photographs of the assembly

What will parts cost?

Many parts can be re-used from junk bicycles, or found in typical workshops. You can construct the PPPM by recycling a junk bicycle for the bicycle parts and buying only the remaining, less common mechanical parts.

The approximate cost for parts to construct the PPPM ranges from US $100 to $250, depending on the cost of parts in your area and your ability to scrounge.

Note: The equipment you plan to power with the PPPM, such as pumps, generators, air compressors, laptop computers, blenders, or other equipment, would be additional.
