Corbin Sparrow Battery Pack Statistics Form

The purpose of this form is to collect dynamic battery performance information from a large number of Sparrow battery packs. The information will be statistically analyzed and presented on this site to enable Sparrow owners to track and compare their individual Sparrow battery pack performance to the overall average. I hope this will enable Sparrow owners to increase the life of their battery packs and make more informed decisions about battery maintenance and replacement.

All measurements are made "under load", which means either while charging or driving. Measurements are to be taken at particular points (even tens of percents) under specified conditions. This means you need to note a particular measurement at a particular percent of capacity while charging or driving on flat terrain and enter that measurement. Multiple measurements are possible on a single trip (if you don't mind making the record somehow!) or during a single charge cycle.

Please enter the information for your Sparrow in as many of the sections as you wish. You may enter information as often as you wish. Just bookmark this form and enter either Charging, Discharging or both data points any time you remember. Some information is required (marked with *) in order to associate the different measurements together. The information collected will change over time as this system becomes more sophisticated.

• This information enables information to be saved for averaging over time
• Number battery packs beginning with 1 (one)

• Choose a value for both Percent Charge and Volts
• Make the measurement while the charger is running

• Choose a value for all three: Percent Charge, Volts and Load (MPH or "heater")
• The driving measurement must be made while cruising on approximately level ground at constant speed
• Repeat the measurement on the same street if possible
• To participate in standardized tests, use the heater as the load (while parked)
• Take this measurement safely!!!

• This information will be used to qualify results
• Enter climate information based on the temperature at the time the measurement was made
• Average trips should reflect usage between charges since last data was recorded
• Check "Conservative" Driving Style and "Medium" trip length when using the heater to load the pack
