APRIL 1995

• You are invited to participate in the Los Gatos Creek Trail GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION. Saturday, April 29, 1995 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at Forbes Mill Museum in Los Gatos. This event is sponsored by the Town. The Trails and Bikeways Committee volunteered to organize the event.

Sponsored tables are available to organizations wishing to give out information and/or raise money for their non profit organizations. Please call (408)399-5770 for information regarding participation as a "sponsor".

• April 29,30 - V.I.P. RUMMAGE SALE: The Los Gatos Volunteers In Policing will hold a Rummage Sale in the Civic Center parking lot from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. There will be an assortment of items for sale as well as food booths.

MAY 1995

• May 5 - THE CLEAN AIR CHALLENGE: This event is a bike tour that travels on the Town's bike trails. The course has not been submitted as the event is in the planning stage.

• May 6 - CHILDRENS FANTASY FAIRE: This event is held on the front lawn area of Los Gatos High School from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. There will be food, crafts and game booths at the event. Approximately 1000 people attend this event.

• May 6 - LOS GATOS MUSEUM ASSOCIATION ARTIST'S FAIRE: This event will be held in the Town Plaza Park from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. There will be various art works for sale during the event. There will also be a food and refreshment booth.

• May 7 - ISRAELI INDEPENDENCE DAY: This event will take place at Plaza Park and is scheduled from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. There will be vendor and food booths at the Park. Montebello Way and Broadway Avenue, East of S. Santa Cruz Avenue will be closed during the event. Two Police Officers will be working the event.

• May 7 - THE SCHOLASTIC CLASSIC: This event will take place at Los Gatos High School. This is a 2 mile walk and run which attracts approximately 300 participants.

• May 14 - MOTHER'S DAY: The Los Gatos Downtown Association is sponsoring a Mother's Day event at the Town Plaza Park from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. There will be family photographs taken and flowers sold during the event.

• May 19,20 - LOS GATOS CAMERA TENT SALE: Los Gatos Camera at 421 North Santa Cruz will be holding a tent sale in the parking lot in front of their store from 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. on both days.

• May 27 - THE CATS HILL BICYCLE RACE: This event will take place in the Almond Grove district of Los Gatos. The event will take place from 11:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Approximately 5000 people attend this event. 9 police officers work this event for traffic control.

JUNE 1995

• June 3,4 - THE STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL: This 2 day event is held at the Civic Center and approximately 25, 000 people attend the Festival. The Festival operates on Saturday from 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. and on Sunday, from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. There will be food, craft and game booths. There will also be live music on both days of the event. There will be 5 police officers working this event each day.

• June 10 - SPRING FETE: This event will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Unitarian Fellowship Church at 15980 Blossom Hill Road. There will be food and craft booths in the church parking lot and approximately 500 people will attend this event.

• June TBA - THE SUMMERFEST: This event is sponsored by the Lions Club and is in the planning stages. The event will be held at the sunken parking lot at Old Town.

• August 19,20 - THE ART AND WINE FESTIVAL

• September 24 - LOS GATOS CATS FESTIVAL
